Attracting the coveted 18-to-34-year-old age group is job one for Scion, the youth-oriented division of Toyota, and its xB wagon is the fashion centerpiece of the brand. Although the Scion xB has the body of a miniature delivery truck, even in its second generation this box still casts a distinctive silhouette. Additionally, Scion has made it easy for its customer base to personalize their xBs by offering an extensive list of aftermarket-type dealer-installed accessories, including advanced audio systems, wheels, body kits and mild performance modifications.
While the original Scion xB was little more than a rebadged version of a Japanese-market Toyota, Scion had the American market specifically in mind when it made the second-generation model bigger and more powerful. While the first xB earns points for originality and the second for practicality, either generation is a fine pick for a small and distinctive wagon. Scion LED Tail Lights are the kind of upgrade that makes an immediate difference. How come? It’s easy. With a stronger glow and increased efficiency, Scion LED Taillights are just the thing a modernly-styled ride like yours requires. CARiD.Com carries a full line of Scion Custom Tail Lights that deliver the effect you’re going for. Whether you crave blazing-hot fashion or improved radiance for the back-end, our selection of Scion Custom Taillights is sure to point you in the right direction. Scion Custom Taillights are available in Red Clear, Crystal Clear, JDM Black, and more. Even go with Scion Euro Taillights for that exotic image-boost no one can compete with! Factory lamps dim and fade. Besides that, they’re boring! Say something more, take a stand – Scion LED Tail Lights never disappoint…
At CARiD.Com, we work hand-in-hand with the best manufacturers to ensure your Scion Custom Tail Lights are the real deal. All Scion LED Taillights and Scion Euro Taillights come in pairs and preassembled for a convenient “plug & play” installation. You also never have to sweat the details. Scion Custom Tail Lights at CARiD are designed specifically for your model and guaranteed to provide a precise OEM fit! Scion vehicles are known for their “built-in” style. Here’s a way to add even more fire to the cause. Take advantage of it!

Kia has teamed up with Antenna magazine to create a special surf-themed concept for this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas. The publication turned its attention to the 2012 Kia Rio 5-Door. With a special sunset-metallic paint, custom gold wheels and a wooden front splitter, there’s no mistaking the machine as a run-of-the-mill Rio.
Inside, the vehicle has been fitted with a special ’80s gaming console as well as a vinyl record player and shelves for shoes and swimsuits. Oddly enough, there’s no surf rack on top for transporting your boards to and from the beach.
If this isn’t the pure essence of SEMA, we don’t know what is. We’re a little concerned about the thought that went into putting the record player below the shoe shelves as sand and LPs don’t typically hang out at the same bar… Kia and Antenna plan to show off this particular 2012 Kia Rio 5-Door on Tuesday, November 1.

I’ll probably swap out hoses, belts and fluids at 100k just as a matter of principle. Very comfortable and has been more reliable than my wife’s Honda Accord. Now that the kids are gone, I’d like to get rid of it for something that gets better mileage, but I just can’t justify it.

A month after its Aveo-axing name change, the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic made its public debut in Detroit. On sale this fall in both four-door sedan and five-door hatchback configurations, Chevy says this space-efficient subcompact based on GM’s sophisticated “global small car” platform will deliver class-leading people and cargo space to match its aggressive styling, sporty personality and an impressive roster of standard and optional features. Aimed at youthful buyers who might be considering alternatives like the Ford Fiesta and Honda Fit, the Chevy Sonic also will offer the latest in driver-connectivity systems as well as 10 standard airbags.
While the Sonic five-door’s bodywork travels a higher-profile path than the more conventional skin on its sedan sibling, both are crisply rendered and share Chevy’s signature dual-element grilles, have motorcycle-inspired headlamp/taillamp treatments and wide-track/short-overhang stances. Their nicely finished cabins pick up on that two-wheel influence with a unique main instrument cluster that features a large, round analog tachometer set within an asymmetrical LCD readout matched with a prominent digital speedometer display.
The Sonic’s well-formed front buckets offer optional heating and are paired with a split-folding rear bench. Its standard OnStar system will come with six months of Turn-by-Turn navigation and XM Satellite Radio, USB, Bluetooth, and a MyChevrolet mobile application with OnStar MyLink vehicle connectivity also will be available.
To ensure enthusiastic straight-line performance, Chevy opted to fit the new 2012 Sonic with same powertrains available in the larger Cruze model, which is roughly 500 pounds heavier. The base engine will be a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter Ecotec inline-four that makes 135 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of peak torque and can be paired with either a five-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission. The step-up alternative is the 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec that carries 138/148 output ratings, with the latter being on hand from 1,850-4,900 rpm. It gets backed by a standard six-speed manual gearbox.
On the handling front, the Sonic matches an ultra-stiff unit body with MacPherson struts up front and a modified torsion beam rear axle. Chevy tapped a group of Corvette engineers to fine tune the setup in a way that would endow the Sonic with outstanding control and agility while maintaining impressive ride comfort. The car’s standard electronic power steering also features a wear compensator that continually adjusts the system interaction with the steering gear to maintain a precise feel regardless of the total mileage that’s been racked up. Stopping power is provided by ABS disc brakes with brake force distribution and the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic will offer the choice of 15-inch steel wheels or 15/16/17-inch alloy rims, depending on trim level.

If you’ve been looking for Chevy Custom Tail Lights, CARiD.Com is the place to be! We feature a wide variety of the highest quality Chevy Custom Tail Lights available, including all the latest styles and colors that have begun to make headlines. Chevy Custom Taillights can be had in Crystal Clear, Red Clear, JDM Black, Bermuda Black, and more. Even send an exotic message with Chevy Euro Tail Lights that come in a variety of designs! Quality is always the most important part of the equation at CARiD and when it comes to Chevy LED Taillights that is never truer. All of our Chevy LED Taillights and Chevy Euro Taillights are produced by world-class manufacturers and guaranteed to enact a precise OEM fit. You get the dynamic look you’re gunning for along with the piece of mind you deserve.
At CARiD, we recognize the need drivers have to “stand alone.” One of the key ways to do that is by attacking the taillights. Chevy LED Tail Lights shine with more power and last longer than OEM bulbs. While the style upgrade is off the charts, it also makes for safer driving during the daytime and even more so at night. The key is discovering which design fits your tastes best. Our inventory of Chevy Custom Taillights is sure to point you in the right direction. Give your ride an image-boost that radiates with personality. Chevy Tail Lights always do the trick!

It looks like the 2011 Nissan Murano was the harbinger of names to come for the rest of the Nissan fleet. The company just released pricing details on the 2011 Nissan Titan and Armada, and it looks like the two heavy-breathing bruisers will carry new badges when they hit dealer lots. Starting next year, the Armada will shed its SE and Titanium designations in favor of SV and SL trims, respectively. Those looking to land themselves in the big Japanese SUV can expect to pay $37,910 for a two-wheel drive in SV garb. Things top out with the $52,890 Armada 4×4 Platinum.
On the truck side of things, XE, SE and LE trims have been scrapped in favor of S, SV and SL designations. Oh what a difference a consonant makes. Pricing for the full-size pickup starts at $26,820 for the short-wheelbase version in two-wheel drive, S trim and goes up from there. The priciest of the lot is the $39,620 Titan SL Crew Cab four-wheel drive.

Nissan Custom Tail Lights deliver a dramatic contrast to the “everyday” dullness factory tail lamps display. It’s an infusion of style and color that glows with personality! CARiD carries a full lineup of Nissan Custom Tail Lights that underline the point. Nissan LED Tail Lights offer a clearer, striking shine that makes driving not only safer, but also allows for a chance to show off some added fashion. Choose from Nissan LED Tail Lights and Nissan Euro Tail Lights in a variety of options including Crystal Clear, Red Clear, JDM Black, and Platinum Smoke – but there’s more where those came from! Nissan drivers enjoy cruising with a sleek, modern presence. Nissan LED Taillights are a great way to keep your vehicle ahead of the curve!

The Kia Soul and special editions go together like hip-hop and hamsters. That is to say, some people love them and other folks might have heard enough of this, and heard enough of that. Regardless, the Soul is getting another special edition, and this time around it’s the Hamstars that are getting the attention.
We saw the concept version of the Kia Soul Hamstar Edition at the 2010 SEMA show. Now, we’ve received confirmation from Kia that this stars and stripes-wearing Soul is coming to dealer lots in time for the 2011 spring season. Stripes run up the doors and on to the fenders while a star Hamstar logo sits on the hood and rear hatch. The Soul Hamstar will get a unique wheel package, and the inside will feature more Hamstar logos throughout. No word yet on pricing… but it’s safe to assume it will cost you a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Sorry.

CARiD.com offers a complete lineup of Kia Soul Accessories and parts for you to choose from. That includes everything from wood dash kits and floor mats to chrome trim and spoilers. But there’s more where those came from! Plus, all of our Kia Soul accessories and parts come to you courtesy of the finest manufacturers in the game at a value that makes sense. Don’t trust anyone else when it comes to your car – it’s too important. When you want Kia Soul accessories, CARiD.com is the place to be!

The mid-sized Optima sedan has been redesigned and substantially changed for 2011. The wheelbase is three inches longer, the cabin is more spacious, and the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine was bumped from 175 hp to 200 hp. The car is wider and lower, and the styling is bolder and less bland, and distinctly different from the mechanically similar Hyundai Sonata. The Optima now looks more coupe-like, with a sloping roof and a wide rear roof pillar. A panoramic sunroof lets in lots of light What's new or notable? Instead of a V6, the uplevel engine is a turbocharged version of the 2.4-liter four-cylinder, good for 274 hp. A hybrid version of the Optima will come next year. CR's take: The outgoing Optima was a pleasant car and a good value. The new one is much more stylish and promises to reflect the all-around ability of its sister, the Hyundai Sonata.

When we first drove the 2011 Kia Sportage EX we said that it’s one of the most svelte crossovers on the market. After being on sale for over a year there is no question that the statement is as true today as it was then. Though you can only get so far on your good looks.
Upon taking a closer look we found quite a few things to quibble about when it came to the whole package. For 2011 Kia is adding a turbocharged SX model to the Sportage line, which among other things gives you some added grunt.
Last week we spent a day driving the new 2011 Sportage SX through the canyons outside Phoenix to see if the new power and tuning has fixed our previous quibbles.
The devil’s in the details
There’s nothing that ostentatious about the turbocharged SX; most people who aren’t acquainted with the finer details might think it to be any other Sportage. The biggest giveaway is the dual-exhaust hanging out back, but there are other minor details. The wheels are unique 18-inch machine-faced alloys with black-painted accents; there are new special side moldings; and the grille features a black gloss finish instead of the normal chrome. The final giveaway is of course the SX and T-GDI badges out back on the tailgate.
Inside the main addition is what Kia calls a supervision meter cluster, which displays trip computer information with a brighter, better-designed layout than what the other Sportage models get. This is the same LCD display in the center of the speedometer that you will find in a non-SX Optima or Sorento.
Exclusive to the SX model is orange and blue interior color choices. The orange package includes orange stitching on the steering wheel, center console, and seats. This is all complimented by orange plastic accents on the door panels and air vents. The blue package included unique blue patterned cloth seats and blue interior accents. We will comment that the orange interior is very loud, while the blue interior was not on hand at the event. Though we are told that the blue package is much more subdued than the orange package.
